Vice President of Embedded Payments

Responsibilities
- Strategic Partnerships & Business Development
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to acquire, manage, and grow partnerships with software providers across North America.
- Target SaaS, ERP, accounting, vertical software, and platform providers to embed TransferMate’s global payments capabilities into their offerings.
- Lead high-level commercial negotiations, structuring strategic agreements that drive revenue growth and market adoption.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver seamless API and embedded payment integrations tailored to software partner needs.
- Revenue & Growth Leadership
- Own revenue targets for the software providers segment, driving adoption and transaction growth.
- Design go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and co-branded payment solutions that maximize value for both software partners and end users.
- Identify new verticals and partnership models within the software ecosystem to accelerate growth.
- Stakeholder & Relationship Management
- Work cross-functionally with product, compliance, operations, and marketing teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
- Build strong C-level relationships within target software providers to position TransferMate as the payments partner of choice.
- Represent TransferMate at software industry events, conferences, and panels, enhancing visibility and thought leadership in the embedded payments space.
- Regulatory & Compliance Alignment
- Ensure embedded payment solutions comply with North American regulatory and licensing frameworks.
- Partner with internal legal and compliance teams to manage risk, contractual obligations, and due diligence processes.
- Anticipate regulatory shifts affecting embedded finance and guide TransferMate’s strategy to remain ahead of compliance requirements.
Requirements
- 8+ years’ experience in business development or partnerships within fintech or payments.
- Proven success securing and scaling strategic software partnerships
- Strong knowledge of embedded payments, APIs, and integration models.
- Solid understanding of North American payments regulation and compliance.
- Skilled negotiator with experience structuring complex commercial agreements.
- Strong executive presence with ability to build C-level relationships.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
- Results-driven, strategic thinker with entrepreneurial mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
