Responsibilities
- Market Expansion & Strategic Partnerships
- Develop and execute a comprehensive LATAM strategy, with an initial focus on Mexico and Argentina, while identifying and prioritizing additional high-potential markets across the region.
- Establish and grow relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 banks, neobanks, fintechs, and payment institutions across LATAM.
- Lead market entry strategies, including partner identification, regulatory navigation, and go-to-market planning.
- Secure high-value commercial agreements that accelerate TransferMate’s regional footprint.
- Revenue & Growth Leadership
- Own and deliver revenue targets for LATAM, driving customer adoption and regional expansion.
- Develop and adapt pricing models, go-to-market strategies, and co-branded solutions tailored to LATAM market dynamics.
- Monitor competitive landscape and regional trends to refine growth strategies and stay ahead of market shifts.
- Stakeholder & Relationship Management
- Work cross-functionally with global product, compliance, operations, and marketing teams to localize offerings and ensure successful regional delivery.
- Build a strong network with regulators, industry associations, and ecosystem partners across Mexico, Argentina, and other target markets.
- Represent TransferMate as a thought leader at LATAM industry events, conferences, and panels to enhance brand recognition.
- Regulatory & Compliance Alignment
- Ensure all LATAM operations and partnerships adhere to local regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with internal legal and compliance teams to secure licenses, manage risk, and maintain strong governance across diverse jurisdictions.
- Proactively anticipate and address evolving regulatory changes in LATAM markets.
Requirements
- 8+ years’ experience in business development, partnerships, or market expansion within fintech, payments, or financial services.
- Proven track record of building partnerships with banks, neobanks, fintechs, and payment institutions in LATAM.
- Strong knowledge of regional regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Experience leading market entry strategies and securing high-value commercial agreements.
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and C-level relationship-building skills.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (Portuguese a plus).
- Results-driven, strategic thinker with deep understanding of LATAM financial ecosystems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
