Business Development Representative

Responsibilities
- Opportunity Sourcing & Pipeline Generation
- Identify and qualify new partnership opportunities with Tier 1 & Tier 2 banks, neobanks, fintechs, and other financial institutions.
- Conduct outreach campaigns (calls, emails, LinkedIn, events) to build a strong front-book pipeline for the VP, Financial Institutions.
- Research and map target accounts to understand organizational structures, decision-makers, and partnership potential.
- Manage inbound leads, ensuring timely qualification and handover.
- Partnership Support & Account Management
- Support the VP, Financial Institutions in managing existing partnerships, ensuring client satisfaction and identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
- Serve as a day-to-day contact for closed accounts, coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding, service delivery, and issue resolution.
- Track and report partner performance, helping to surface insights and opportunities for deeper collaboration.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with product, compliance, operations, and marketing teams to align partnership needs with TransferMate’s solutions.
- Assist in preparing pitch materials, proposals, and presentations for prospective partners.
- Support event preparation and represent TransferMate at selected industry conferences to generate new leads.
- Performance & Growth
- Consistently hit activity and pipeline generation targets.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and pipeline opportunities in CRM.
- Stay informed on industry developments, competitive trends, and regulatory updates impacting financial institutions.
Requirements
- 1–2 years’ experience in sales, business development, or internships in fintech, banking, or related fields (open to recent graduates).
- Strong interest in financial services, fintech, and partnerships.
- Confident communicator with good presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Organized and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple tasks and keep accurate records in CRM tools.
- Proactive, motivated, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field preferred.
